What is the relationship?

Select the relationship of the two individuals to their common ancestor.

For example, common ancestor is your grandfather. The two individuals that you seek for family relationship would each trace their ancestry back to him. So for the first individual (let’s say this is you) the selection would be Grand-Child. The second individual (let’s say your cousin’s child) the selection would be (1) Great Grand-Child. Your cousin is a grandchild of your grandfather, thus the child of your cousin is a great-grandchild of your grandfather.

Now press “Calculate Relationship” and the formal relationship name will be displayed.
